Be Counted is a web database to keep track of gender diversity (or lack thereof) at tech events. I created it in 2009. Be Counted is a participative platform in the form of a website asking people to contribute Gender Ratio Reports (GRRs) from events that they attended. The project aims to collect a stream of user-contributed data on gender diversity in technology environments.
