Sinister Social Network - Exhibition
For exhibiting Sinister Social Network, I designed an interaction that is based on the web project. The main component of the Sinister Social Network website are the social network diagrams that get drawn as the chat bots are communicating. The installation transports these social network diagrams into "real space". A camera is mounted on the ceiling of the gallery and computer vision software constantly analyzes the chair constellation and draws connections between the chairs. Visitors can then take pictures of these constellations and annotate them with their suspicions. Sinister Social Network was exhibited in 2006 at the UCSD University Art Galllery, in La Jolla, California and in 2007 at Edith-Russ-Haus in Oldenburg, Germany.
